Summary |
This paper presents a high-speed uplink optical wireless communication system using multiuser multiple input multiple output (Multiuser MIMO) technique. The proposed system is composed of multiple photodetectors installed on the ceiling and multiple transmitters located near the floor with multiple light-emitting diodes (LEDs). To improve the quality of the uplink channel, we apply angle diversity for each transmitter consisting of multiple LEDs with different orientations. The performance evaluation with one transmitter fxed and the other randomly moving is conducted. Based on the obtained results, we show that the proposed system achieves a BER of each transmitter better than 10−4 over most locations while maintaining a data rate of 100 Mbps. |
