| Summary |
This study explores a data collection system using an optical wireless
code-division multiple access (CDMA) scheme. The system's transmitters asynchronously send data to a base station receiver. In CDMA systems, communication performance may degrade because of the near-far problem caused by variations in propagation path length between each transmitter and the receiver. To solve this problem, this paper proposes a new base-station receiver structure that employs hard limiters to restrict the amplitude of strong signals and successive interference cancellers to eliminate the effects of residual signals, and shows the advantages of this new combination method over existing methods that use hard limiters or successive interference cancellers independently. |
