This manuscript reports the results of a campaign for measuring the multiple access performance using G3-PLC modems in a live large-scale building located in Japan. One-to- one communication results revealed a wide variation of perfor- mance depending on a pair of outlets selected for communication. This variation was found to be a potential cause of the hidden terminal problem that degrades the multiple access performance of G3-PLC using CSMA/CA protocol. |
