| Summary |
This study discusses a synchronization method between a transmitter of LCD and a receiver of an image sensor for a visible light communication system. In this system, clocks of the transmitter and the receiver operates independently. Then, timing gap of refresh timing of the LCD and shutter timing of the image sensor will occur. This gap results in a mixing image between continuous two frames. In addition, a CMOS image sensor causes rolling shutter effect, in which the mixing ratio of each scan line will change. In this study, the effect of timing gap and rolling shutter is investigated by simulations. Then, we propose a method to avoid the mixing image. By experimental evaluation, we clarify the effect of our proposed method. |
