In a large-scale building, narrow-band power line communication (NB-PLC) is an effective communication method for realization of data (energy consumption, temperature, etc.) gathering systems. There are, however, few studies discussing the relationship between the communication quality and channel characteristics of indoor NB-PLC. This manuscript reports the measurement results of NB-PLC communication quality and channel characteristics in a large-scale building and clarifies the relation between them. |
