| Summary |
This paper focuses on vehicle to infrastructure visible lightcommunication (V2I-VLC) using
two LED headlights as transmitters
and photodiodes (PDs) with an optical lens as receiver.We adopt DC-biased optical orthgonal frequency division multiplexing
(DCO-OFDM) to realize high data rata V2I-VLC.
In V2I-VLC,it is possible to remove background light noise sources by narrowing the receiver's field of view (FOV) by
using an optical lens.However,small FOV causes received signal intensity fluctuations ,especially in a driving situation ,and
performance may be degraded.To overcome the problem,we adopt a Alamouti-type
Space Time Block Coding (STBC) .
In this paper, we experimentally demonstrate a 2×1
STBC performance and compare it with the conventional system which the
same
signals simultaneously transmitted from two headlights.
Experimental results show that STBC can't improve bit-error-rate
performance because two signals transmitted from each headlights have
high space correlation. |
