| Summary |
This paper evaluates the performance of the stochastic
resonance (SR) receiver for subthreshold signal reception. We
focus on the problem of no communication when received signal
strength is below receiver sensitivity. Previously, we proposed
a SR receiver installed with a typical device exhibiting SR in
BPSK modulation and presented the performance improvement
for subthreshold signals. However, the performances of other
nonlinear devices exhibiting SR are not clear, and we require
the performance evaluation for various nonlinear devices. And
also, the performance evaluation in multi-level modulation is
not presented. In this paper, we evaluate bit error rate (BER)
performances of SR receivers installed with a three-level device,
a Schmitt trigger and a comparator in QPSK modulation. |
