| Summary |
This manuscript focuses on the communication for data gathering of energy management systems of large-scale buildings. In these systems, base stations need to collect various quasi-real time data, such as energy consumption, temperature, humidity and so on, from sensor nodes at various locations in buildings. For this purpose, by virtue of being able to use the existing infrastructure, narrowband power line communication technology is a good candidate. This manuscript reports the result of measurements of signal propagation characteristics and packet error performance of G3-PLC standard in a building grid. The results show the performance differences by a selected outlets pair for communication. |
