| Summary |
This paper presents a comparison between two schemes for multiple machine feedback control systems that use a power line as their feedback loops.
The cyclostationary noise considered for the power line allows us to predict the channel communication quality for various time instants. The conventional fixed time slot assignment scheme is rated against a proposed cyclic time slot assignment scheme for medium access for three machines. By comparing these two schemes we explore the non-linear relationship that exists between channel communication quality, control command timing intervals, and machine control quality. The control quality of the system is evaluated by rating its stability and accuracy. As a result, it is confirmed that the cyclic time slot assignment scheme offers a much more fair
medium access to all machines. |
