| Summary |
SU-MIMO (Single-User Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) is a wireless communication technology that can transmit multiple streams between a transmit-receive nodes’ pair by multiple antennas. IEEE802.11n uses this technology so as to achieve very high transmission speed. Furthermore, MU-MIMO (Multi-User MIMO) will be employed in IEEE802.11ac, which is under standardization now. It can simultaneously transmit multiple streams from a transmitting node to some receiving nodes. In this paper, the performances of three transmission methods such as SU-MIMO, MU-MIMO, and SU-SISO (Single-User Single-Input Single-Output) are compared in a simple model for wireless mesh networks. |
