Title Distance and Velocity Measurement of Approaching Target Via 45 kHz Ultrasonic Sensor Array

Summary Ultrasonic sensors are an attractive option for target detection purposes due to their low cost, functionality in all light and weather conditions and easy implementation. Multiple ultrasonic sensors arranged in an array were shown to strengthen ultrasonic waves and increase detection range at static conditions in an indoor environment. In this article, we report a conducted experiment on a moving target in an outdoor environment to analyze its performance and will aim to use the obtained data for localization in future works.
