| Summary |
In wireless multihop networks, multi-route coding was proposed to reduce bit errors on wireless channels. In this scheme, diversity gain can be obtained by transmitting coded packets on multiple routes. Transmitting packets on multiple routes, however, causes traffic congestion, and also increase network latency. Network coding is one technique that can reduce the transmitted traffic in wireless multihop networks. In this paper, we consider a wireless multihop network which consists of a fusion center (FC) and a lot of wireless nodes, and FC broadcasts packets to nodes. We propose to apply random network coding to reduce traffic congestion and network latency, which are caused by multi-route coding. |
