Summary |
Due to their usability and efficiency, drones are used in various industries, such as agriculture, logistics, rescue operations, and surveying. Drones can quickly reach high or dangerous
locations, significantly improving the effectiveness of life-saving efforts. Real-time communication and data transmission are essential in drone-assisted rescue operations.
This study focuses on drone information transmission technology using visible light communication (VLC). VLC utilizes
LEDs to transmit information through rapid flashes that are invisible to the human eye. While traditional drone wireless
communication technologies have primarily focused on radio waves, the future holds expectations for real-time transmission
of high-quality images and data.
In experiments, LEDs are attached to the propellers of a quadcopter drone, and a camera captures the light-trail
generated as the LEDs rotate. Verification experiments are conducted indoors to evaluate the proposed system’s performance. |
