Summary |
This paper proposes the use of rate-compatible polar codes in image sensor communication (ISC) using a propeller LED transmitter (P-Tx). In a traditional zone-segment data transmission method, the length of the light trails for each bit signal is controlled according to the rotation radius, which improves transmission efficiency in the system. However, the length of the light trails and the received brightness values per bit vary with the rotation radius, resulting in variations in the error probability across different zones.
Therefore, this paper proposes the use of polar codes to achieve optimal data transmission in each zone. By employing polar codes with different code lengths and code rates according to the rotation radius, we maximize the transmission performance
specific to each zone. We evaluate the effectiveness of the proposed method through indoor experiments. |
